I like living. I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable, racked with sorrow, but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing.
I am continuing the evaluation of then and now. 20 years ago I pleaded with my Heavenly Father that I not have to live any more. I am now thankful He didn't listen to me.

I'm so glad that you're alive. And I know that I'm not the only one who thinks so. Yay, you! Yay for God who says "no" to some of our prayers and does what is best.
And I understand despair, oh, so thoroughly.
But, no. No. NO. Life is worth living. It really is.
You are loved and amazing and strong and brave and wonderful.
And even when you mess up or feel sad or act differently than you wish? You are still loved and amazing and strong and brave and wonderful. You just stumble and fall as we all do.
I celebrate you, Ruth! (confetti toss)
Amen to that.
Thanks Kiki and Laurel.
Remember Kiki that goes for you too. Enjoyed the confetti toss. :)
Reminds me of the Garth Brooks song "Unanswered prayers" where he thanks God for not giving him what he asked for :)And his life became better because of the unanswered prayer.
Sometimes you have to wait on God's time but He does have a beautiful plan.
