Gratitude doesn't change events....

it changes my point of view. 

I kept Lincoln's quote on my wall in high school.

“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.”

 Same event, however if I totally focus on the thorns that is all I see.  I need to back up and refocus to get a different point of view.  Gratitude is like that it helps me back up and refocus.
